Command Mode

User Guidelines
The priority value must be a multiple of 4096.
The switch with the lowest priority is the root of the spanning tree.
Example
The following example configures the spanning-tree priority to 12288.
Console(config)#
spanning-tree priority
12288
spanning-tree disable
Use the spanning-tree disable Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-
channel) mode command to disable the spanning tree on a specific port. Use
the no form of this command to enable the spanning tree on a port.
Syntax
spanning-tree disable
no spanning-tree disable
Default Configuration
Spanning tree is enabled on all ports.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
Example
The following example disables the spanning tree on gigabitethernet port
1/0/
5
Console(config)#
interface
gigabitethernet 1/0/5
Console(config-if)#
spanning-tree disable
