Functions
To change the laser emission timing to adjust the width of the image area that is erased
at the leading edge, trailing edge and top and bottom.
Use When the PH unit is replaced
Adjustment
Specifica-
tion
Adjust the following erase width values so that
each falls within the following adjustment range:
Width A (Leading Edge); Width B (Trailing
Edge); and Width C (Top/Bottom).
Default setting: 4 mm
Adjustment range: 0 to 5 mm (in 1-mm incre-
ments)
The default setting for 2-sided trailing edge
erase width is “2 mm.

Instructions
To make the erase width (Width A, B, or C) smaller, decrease the setting value.
To make the erase width (Width A, B, or C) greater, increase the setting value.
Adjustment
Procedure
1. Call the Tech. Rep. Mode to the screen.
2. Touch the keys in this order: [Tech. Rep. Choice] [Printer] [Edge Erase].
3. Select the specific edge to be adjusted.
4. Press the Clear key and change the setting value using the 10-Key Pad.
5. Touch [END] to validate the new setting value.

The default setting is “0”.
The adjustment range is -5 mm to +5 mm. (in 1 mm increments)

Procedure
1. Call the Tech. Rep. Mode to the screen.
2. Touch the keys in this order: [Tech. Rep. Choice] [Printer] [Loop Adjustment].
3. Select the paper source, for which the adjustment is made.
4. Press the Clear key and change the setting value using the 10-Key Pad.
5. Change the + or - sign using the Access key or * key.
6. Touch [END] to validate the new setting value.
