Proper setting
The thread-pulling knife (2) pivots as closely as possible above the hook
and is positioned approx. 0.3 mm higher than the counter blade (1).
To adjust the height of the thread-pulling knife:
1. Open the throat plate slides ( p. 28).
2. Tilt the machine head ( p. 18).
3. Loosen the screw (5).
4. Loosen the threaded pin (3).
5. Adjust the height of the thread-pulling knife (2) using the set collar (7).
The thread-pulling knife pivots as closely as possible above the hook.
The thread-pulling knife (2) is positioned approx. 0.3 mm higher than
the counter blade (1).
6. Set the set collar (3) toward the hook bearing (6).
7. Push the lever (4) up.
8. Tighten the threaded pin (3).
9. Tighten the screw (5).
The movement must be smooth, but must not have any play.
