8.3 Adjusting the needle bar height
Order
First, check the following settings:
• Looping stroke position ( p. 52)
Disturbance
Disturbances caused by an incorrect needle bar height:
• Damage to the hook tip
• Jamming of the needle thread
• Skip stitches
• Thread breaking
• Needle breakage

Proper setting
The hook tip is level with the lower third of the groove on the needle.
To adjust the needle bar height:
1. Execute the service routine Needle-Hook > Timing
( p. 14).
The software is used to define the necessary presettings on
the machine.
