14.4 Adjusting the height and initial position of the thread-
pulling knife

Proper setting
The thread-pulling knife (8) is positioned at the same height as the counter
blade (10).
To adjust the height and the initial position of the thread-pulling knife:
1. Place the counter blade (10) and move it up to the thread-pulling
knife (8) without any pressure being applied.
2. Tighten the screw (9).
3. Loosen the screw (5).
4. Loosen the threaded pin (7).
5. Adjust the height of the thread-pulling knife (8) using the set collar (2).
The thread-pulling knife (8) is positioned at the same height as
the counter blade (10).
6. Set the set collar (2) toward the hook bearing (6).
7. Tighten the threaded pin (7).
8. Adjust the thread-pulling knife (8) so that the edge (1) lines up flush
with the cutting edge of the counter blade (10).
9. Push the lever (4) up against the hook bearing (6).
