Thread trimmer (FA)

To adjust the point in time for cutting:
1. Tilt the machine head ( p. 18).
2. Open the throat plate slides ( p. 28).
3. Loosen the threaded pins (7).
4. Turn the handwheel until the thread-pulling knife (5) can be swung out
by hand.
5. Swivel the thread-pulling knife (5) forward until the marking indicating
the end position (4) is exactly next to the tip of the counter blade (6).
6. Execute the service routine Feed dog > Movement ( p. 14).
The handwheel is at position 60°.
7. Push the control cam (3) to the left as far as it will go and against
the set collar (2).
8. Turn the control cam (3):
• Roller (1) runs up at the contour of the control cam (3)
• the widest extent of the control cam is at handwheel position 60° at
the highest point
9. Tighten the threaded pins (7).
10. Check adjustment:
• Insert the thread into the thread-pulling knife (5) and slowly turn
the handwheel
• Check the handwheel position at which the thread is cut
The thread must be cut at 60°.
11. Readjust if necessary.
