Confirmed
Time
The Confirmed Time variable is the length of time after an initial Zone
activation for which a confirmed alarm will be generated due to any sub-
sequent Zone activation. It is used in conjunction with the DD243 and/
or Confirmation variables. If these variables are set, and an Alarm activa-
tion occurs due to a Zone activation, a second zone activation within this
time period will cause a confirmed alarm and switch on the confirmed
Alarm output (Output 9). If a subsequent activation does not occur then
Output 252 (Zone inhibit on Confirmed Alarm) will switch on and the
zone input will be inhibited. This will be cleared when the system is
unset. After this, another zone activation will restart the confirmation
timer.
Notes:
• This timer cannot be set below 1800 seconds, i.e. 30 minutes.
• Set this variable to 9999 to disable the confirmation timer for Garda
confirmed alarms, i.e. a second Zone activation any time after the
first one will generate a confirmed alarm.
• If DD243 variable is set to YES and this timer is set to any value above
3600, it will automatically revert to 3600 after the first activation, as it
is a requirement of DD243 that the confirmation time should not be
less than 30 min and not more than 60 min.
• If the same Zone is activated within the confirmed time, a confirmed
alarm will not be generated. However the relevant bells will switch on
in this case if Bell on 1st variable is set to NO.
• Confirmation variable or DD243 and Confirmation variables must be
set to YES for this feature to operate.

Func. Enable
Time
Cards and doors may now be assigned functions such as SET/ARM and
UNSET/DISARM. Typically two actions are required in order for the func-
tion to be performed. For example, the system can be programmed so
that a card can Set/Arm an Area by first swiping at the exit reader and
then swiping at the entry reader. The user has a limited amount of time
to perform both of these actions, and this time is known as the FUNC-
TION ENABLE TIME (Default=10 seconds). See “Edit Levels Database”
section for further details.

Multi-Area
arming
Keypads are now assignable to Areas so that Area status and Area keypad
buzzer are relevant to keypads in that Area only. An Area may only be
set/armed and unset/disarmed from a keypad which is assigned to that
Area. However, there may be some instances where a user may wish to
set/arm or unset/disarm an Area from another Area in the same building.
Set this variable to YES to allow this option.
NO YES NO
Retrigger
If set to YES, then the bells/sirens will resound if a second Zone activation
is detected after the Bell Time has elapsed. If set to NO (default), then
the external bells will only trigger once
NO NO YES
Set Door
Protect
If the Set Door Protect variable is set to NO, then any valid card that has
no function level assigned to it will be granted access if the Area is set/
armed. This is to allow access to cards with no function levels assigned. If
this variable is set to YES, then only valid cards with the Unset Outside or
Unset Inside Area function level will be granted access. Cardholders who
normally unset/disarm the System must be given the Unset Outside or
Unset Inside Area function level to be allowed access to the building
when the System is set/armed, otherwise access will be denied.
NO NO YES
Area1 Secure
When this variable is set to YES, only a user assigned to Area 1 can Unset
Area 1. A System Unset will not disarm Area 1.
