When the damper
is
to be replaced with a
C
SERVICE
LIMIT:
198.0
mm
(7.80
in.)
new one,
it
is
necessary to cut
a
slot in the top
end of the rod.
NOTE
Avoid damaging the rod threads.
LOCK
NUT-
Extend the rod fully so that the stopper
rubber
is
at
the bonom of the rod.
Compress the spring until the slotted end of
STOPPER RUBBER
the rod contacts the upper joint.
Applying the end of
a
screwdriver to the rod
UPPER JOINT
slot, turn the rod into the upper joint fully.
Install the lock nut on the end of the rod and
tighten securely.
NOTE
Replace the lock nut if
it
is
cross
threaded.

INSTALLATION
Torque the bolts.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION:
3.0-4.0
kg-m
(22-29
lbs-ft)
Adjust the cushion springs with the spring
adjuster.
