CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY
NOTE
Replace the valve stem seals when
disassembling.
Lubricate each valve stem with oil and insert
the valve into the valve guide.
Install the valve springs and retainers.
NOTE
lnstall the valve springs with the tightly
wound coils facing the cylinder head.
lnstall the valve keepers.
To prevent loss of tension do not
com.
press the valve spring more than
Tap the valve stems gently with a soft ham-
mer to firmly seat the keepers.
NOTE
I Support the cylinder head above the 1
work bench surface to prevent possible
valve damage.
