20.Turn on the Marker Delta function of the spectrum analyzer being used.
21.Change the A9 Attenuator A setting to 2 dB by pressing AMPTD,
Attenuation, Mech Atten, 2 dB.
22.Verify that the signal level on the spectrum analyzer drops by 2 dB from
where it was, as shown in Figure 4-8.
If the signal level is incorrect the most likely cause of the problem is the A9
Attenuator A assembly itself. However, before replacing an A9 Attenuator
A assembly for any failure, refer to Chapter 8, “Front End Control.” for
information on how to verify the control signals to it.

23.Change the A9 Attenuator A setting to 4 dB by pressing AMPTD,
Attenuation, Mech Atten, 4 dB.
24.Verify that the signal level on the spectrum analyzer drops by 4 dB from
where it was, as shown in Figure 4-9.
If the signal level is incorrect the most likely cause of the problem is the A9
Attenuator A assembly itself. However, before replacing an A9 Attenuator
A assembly for any failure, refer to Chapter 8, “Front End Control.” for
information on how to verify the control signals to it.
