Through Path Verification
16.Tune the spectrum analyzer to a start and stop frequency equal to that
shown in Table 5-9 for Band 0.
17.Tune the A22 Radiated Filter assembly to the Band 2 through path by
entering the Service menu and pressing More, RF Preselector, Band Lock,
Through, Band 2.
18.Tune the signal generator to the Verification Start Frequency listed in
Table 5-9 for Band 2.
19.Place one of the active traces on the spectrum analyzer into its Max Hold
function.
20.Slowly vary the frequency of the signal generator between the Verification
Start Frequency and the Verification Stop Frequency listed in Table 5-9 to
draw out the Band 0 through path shape.
21.Verify that the through path gain or loss is equal to the Typical Path
Gain/Loss shown in Table 5-9 for Band 2, and that the frequency response
shape is similar to that shown in Figure 5-29.
If either the path loss or frequency response shape is incorrect the most
likely cause of the problem is the A22 Radiated Filter assembly itself.
