If the change in the signal level is:
— The correct level
Proceed to the next step
— Lower than expected
The most probable cause for the failure is a bad A11 RF
Switch / High Band Switch
— There is no change
Verify that the switch control lines from the A15 Front End
Control assembly are working properly. Refer to Chapter 8,
“Front End Control.” for instructions on how to verify the
control lines.
30.Switch the A11 RF Switch / High Band Preamp assembly back to the high
band thru signal path by pressing AMPTD, More, Internal Preamp, Off.
31.Tune the signal generator and spectrum analyzer to any other frequency
above 3.6 GHz and repeat step 25 through step 29.
32.If the high band preamp signal path gain continues to be within the
expected values, the A11 RF Switch / High Band Preamp is functioning
properly.
33.Reconnect W37, W38, and W39 as shown in Figure 6-7 or Figure 6-8.
