15.1 Setting the baling pressure

Tampering with the pressure controller will invalidate the guarantee!

The baling pressure is set on the left side of the machine.
The following pressure ranges are recommended by KRONE:
Type of crop Recommended pressure range
Hay low
Straw medium/high
Silage high
The baling pressure can only be adjusted when crops are supplied to the bale chamber. The
maximum baling pressure must not exceed 180bar. When opening the tailgate, the pressure
indicated on the pressure gauge(3) must not exceed 210bar. The minimum pressure must not
fall below 50bar.
Screw in the handwheels(1) and(2) anti-clockwise all the way.
Pick up crops with the machine until the pressure gauge(3) indicates the baling pressure
which is at least 10bar above the required baling pressure.
To increase the baling pressure, turn the handwheel(2) clockwise.
To reduce the baling pressure, turn the handwheel(2) anti-clockwise.
