Possible cause Remedy
The hydraulic cylinder is
leaky.
 Seal the hydraulic cylinder or have it replaced by a KRONE
service partner.
Disturbance: The tailgate cannot be opened completely.
Possible cause Remedy
The hydraulic hose for "Open/
close tailgate" is not coupled
correctly.
 Couple the hydraulic hose for "Open/close tailgate", refer to
page56.
The hydraulic hose for "Open/
close tailgate and bring pick-
up to transport/working posi-
tion" is not coupled correctly.
 Couple the hydraulic hose for "Open/close tailgate and bring
pick-up to transport/working position", refer to page56.
Malfunction: The round bale is conically shaped.
Possible cause Remedy
The bale chamber is filled on
one side.
 Fill the bale chamber evenly, refer to page66.
The tractor with machine was
driven too quickly at the end
of the baling process.
 Slow down at the end of the baling process.
Net wrapping: The number of
net layers is too low.
 Increase the number of net layers via the terminal, refer to
page118.
The wrapping material is torn.
 Use only wrapping material of the designated quality.
KRONE recommends one of the "KRONE excellent"
products, see label on the machine with the number
27018640*.
Disturbance: The round bale has a barrel shape. This causes the wrapping and tying material
to tear in the centre.
Possible cause Remedy
The bale chamber is filled un-
evenly.
 Drive over the swath on alternate sides, refer to page66.
The number of layers of wrap-
ping material is too low.
 Increase the number of layers.
Net wrapping: refer to page118.
Chamber film wrapping: refer to page119
The wrapping material brake
is set too tight.
 Set the wrapping material brake, refer to page150.
17.3 Disturbances at the tying unit or during the tying cycle
Malfunction: The wrapping material (net or film) tears directly after tying starts or during the
tying cycle.
Possible cause Remedy
Deposits have caused the cut-
ting unit to drop again directly
after tying starts.
 Remove deposits from the cutting unit.
The cutting unit has been set
too deep.
 Check the setting on the cutting unit.
The wrapping material brake
has been set too forcefully.
 Adjust the wrapping material brake, refer to page150.
