Original Operating Instructions 150001053_00_en
NOTICE
Damage to the machine due to water damages with high-pressure cleaner
If the water jet from a high-pressure cleaner is aimed directly at bearings and electrical/
electronic components, these parts can be damaged.
Do not aim the water jet from high-pressure cleaner at bearings and electrics/electronic
components.
Lubricate the machine according to the lubrication chart, refer to page162. Do not wipe off
any grease leaking from the bearing positions because the ring of grease offers additional
protection against moisture.
Grease the threads of setting screws and similar items.
Drain condensation water out of the compressed-air tank, refer to page191.
Clean the drive chains with a high-pressure cleaner and leave to dry.
Wet the cleaned and dried chains with engine oil.
Start up the machine to distribute the engine oil on all contact surfaces.
Check the chains and sprocket wheels for wear.
Disassemble the universal shaft. Lubricate the inner tubes with grease.
Grease the grease nipples on the universal joint of the universal shaft as well as on bearing
rings of the protective tubes, refer to page166. Follow the operating instructions of the
universal shaft manufacturer.
Liberally grease the uncoated piston rods of all hydraulic cylinders and insert as far as
possible.
Wet all lever joints and bearing positions, which cannot be lubricated, with oil.
Touch up damaged paint and preserve uncoated areas thoroughly with rust protection
agent.
Check that all moveable components move freely. If required, dismount, clean, grease and
remount.
If parts need to be replaced, use only KRONE original spare parts.
INFORMATION
Write down all repair jobs which must be performed by the next harvest and arrange for them
to be done with sufficient lead time. Your KRONE dealer is better able to perform
maintenance service and any required repairs outside the harvest season.
