11.8 Triggering a user-dened fault
The "User-dened fault 1" and "User-dened fault 2" funcons serve to set the inverter from
the process to the error st
atus.
Details
If, for instance, sensors or switches are provided for process monitoring, which are designed
to stop the process (and thus the drive) under certain condions, these sensors/switches can
be connected to free digital inputs of the inverter. The digital inputs used for the sensors/
switches then have to be assigned to the error triggering funcons as triggers.

(PAR 400/043)
Funcon assignment: User-dened fault 1
(
Funcon list: User-def fault 1)
For possible sengs see descripon for
0x2631:001 (PAR 400/001). ^ 188
Assignment of a trigger for the "User-dened fault 1" funcon.
Trigger = TRUE: trigger user-dened fault 1.
Trigger = FALSE: no acon.
Notes:
When the fault has been triggered, the inverter changes to the "Trou-
ble" state.
Aer reseng the fault, a new enable/start command is required to
restart the drive.
00 Not connected No trigger assigned (trigger is constantly FALSE).

Funcon assignment: User-dened fault 2
(Funcon list: User-def fault 2)
For possible sengs see descripon for
0x2631:001 (PAR 400/001). ^ 188
Assignment of a trigger for the "User-dened fault 2" funcon.
Trigger = TRUE: trigger user-dened fault 2.
Trigger = FALSE: no acon.
Notes:
When the fault has been triggered, the inverter changes to the "Trou-
ble" state.
Aer reseng the fault, a new enable/start command is required to
restart the drive.
00 Not connected No trigger assigned (trigger is constantly FALSE).
