10.6.1 Write access protecon
Oponally a lwrite access protecon funcon can be installed for the inverter parameters.
Details
Usually the write access protecon funcon is implemented by the mechanical engineer/
OEM , for example to pr
otect the inverter against incorrect parameterisaon by non-author-
ised persons.

Only authorised persons (who know the PIN) are then allow
ed to change all parameters of
the inverter.
•
Depending on the conguraon, non-authorised persons (who don't know the PIN) are not
granted write access or ar
e only allowed to change the parameters in the user menu.
•
All parameters are always provided with read access.
Write access protecon only restricts parameterisaon via keypad and »EASY
Starter«. Write access protecon via ne
twork is not restricted. Irrespecve of
the write access protecon that is currently set, a higher-level controller, OPC-
UA server, or any other communicaon partner connected to the inverter is
always provided with full read/write access to all parameters of the inverter.
Conguraon of the write access protecon funcon is carried out by seng PIN1 and/or
PIN2. The f

»EASY Starter« provides a user-friendly parameterisaon dialog for the conguraon of the
write access protecon funcon. When the write access protecon
funcon has been acva-
ted, entry of the correct PIN1 or PIN2 in 0x203F is required in order to remove write access
protecon.
When the write access protecon funcon is acve, the keypad automacally displays an
input dialog for the PIN if a change-over to parameterisaon mode is eected. Set the PIN
using the keypad arrow keys. Aer the PIN set has been accepted by means of the keypad
"Enter" key, a short status display of the write access protecon funcon is given.
