The V
/f characterisc control is a motor control for convenonal frequency inverter applica-
ons. It is based on a simple and robust control mode for the operaon of asynchronous
motors with a linear or square-law load torque characterisc (e.g. fan). Because of the mini-
mal parameterisaon eort, such applicaons can be commissioned easily and quickly.

The V/f characterisc control is only suit
able for asynchronous motors.

te a drive with a square-law V/f characterisc: please always check
whether the corresponding drive is suitable for operaon with a square-law V/f characteris-

ta, at least the rated speed and rated frequency must be
