Seng a smoothing factor produces S-shaped ramps for the acceleraon/deceleraon.

This type of acceleraon/deceleraon is for example required for sensive machine parts
with a certain amount of play.

The total acceleraon me and deceleraon me increase correspondingly (see the follow-
ing examples).
Example 1: smoothing factor = 50 %

Total acceleraon me = 1.5 * acceleraon me
•
Total deceleraon me = 1.5 * deceleraon me
Example 2: smoothing factor = 100 %
