7.7.3 Ulmate motor current
The parameterisable ulmate motor current I
ULT
serves to pr
otect the motor.
NOTICE!
With an incorrect parameterisaon, the ulmate motor curren
t may be exceeded in the proc-
ess.
Possible consequence: irreversible damage of the motor.
Be absolutely sure to adapt the seng of the ulmate motor current to the motor connec-
ted.
Set the maximum output current of the inverter in 0x6073 (PAR 324) to a considerably
lower value than that of the ulmate motor current.

purpose of motor protecon.

7.7.4 Motor phase failure detecon
The motor phase failure detecon funcon can be acvated for both synchronous and asyn-
chronous motors.
Precondions
Phase failur
e detecon during operaon is basically only suitable for applicaons which are
operated with a constant load and speed. In all other cases, transient processes or unfavoura-
ble operang points can cause maloperaon.
Details
If a current-carrying motor phase (U, V, W) fails during operaon, the response selected in
0x2D45:001 (PAR 310/001) is tripped if the following two condions are met:
Condion 1: detecon is acvated. See 0x2D45:002 (PAR 310/002)
Condion 2: a specic commutaon angle (approx. 150° electrically) has been covered with-
out the detecon of a current ow.
