6 Disconnect the cable (E), and then remove the solenoid.
MPF gears removal
1 Remove the tray 2 transport guide. See “Tray 2 transport guide” on page 296.
2 Remove the MPF. See “MPF removal” on page 297.
3 Remove the MPF feed clutch. See “MPF feed clutch removal” on page 300.
4 Move the MPF lift plate solenoid out of the way. See “MPF lift plate solenoid removal” on page 301.
5 Release the two clips (A), and then remove the gears.
