4.3 Reactive power regulation (optional)
If your device is equipped with the optional reactive power regulation func-
tion, you can regulate the reactive power of a transformer with on-load tap-
changer (shunt reactor). The device measures the reactive power and com-
pares it with the desired value set. The difference between the measured
value and the desired value is the control deviation. If the control deviation is
greater than the set bandwidth, the device triggers a tap-change operation.
Note the following function limitations if you device is equipped with the reac-
tive power regulation function:
Parallel operation is only possible with the tap synchronization method for
both the voltage regulation and for the reactive power regulation.
The line drop compensation only has an affect on the voltage regulation.
The "Active power-dependent adjustment of desired voltage
value" (TDSC) function only has an affect on the voltage regulation.
