TIME SLOT ALLOCATION

TIME SLOT ALLOCATION
On each DTI card, the system recognizes the lowest and highest channel numbers to which trunk
numbers have been assigned, and allocates time slots to all the channels between them. If trunk
numbers are not assigned to consecutive channels, the system allocates time slots to channels
not assigned.
For example, as shown below, even when Channel 1 through Channel 10 have been assigned
by the system data programming (CM07 Y=01) except for Channel 5, the system allocates a total
of 10 time slots for all ten channels. Therefore, to avoid unnecessary allocation of time slots, it is
recommended that consecutive channels be assigned on each DTI card.
