Command: /u/prismapro/bin/cmsg {options} [range]
displays message status information.
Command Options Range Explanation
./cmsg -n {options} {range} Print no header line.
Can be used as additional options.
Header line:
Msgtoken: Run time Id for the message
Date: Date of the message
Time: Time of the message
Hostname: Name of the host that generated the
message
Jobtoken: The job token for the process chain
Msg-Id: Message Id
Module-name: Name of the module that issued
the message
T: Character which explain the different messag-
es, e. g. L for logs
Description: Short information
./cmsg {-n} -c Display following counters:
Bytes: size of the received
messages
Messages: count of messages in
database including the
deleted messages.
Valid: count of valid
messages
Deleted: Deleted message count
Answers: Count of operator
requests, which still
require an answer
./cmsg {-n} -e {range} Displays the error entries only.
./cmsg {-n} -i {range} Displays the info entries only.
./cmsg {-n} -l {range} Displays the log entries only.
./cmsg {-n} -q {range} Displays the question entries only.
./cmsg {-n} -f {range} Displays the fatal error entries only.
./cmsg {-n} -w {range} Displays the warnings entries only.
./cmsg {-n} -r range Delete (remove) messages in the specified range
(range is always required).
