1. Transferring the file with the RECEIVE command.
2. Checking the file's integrity with an appropriate procedure. If errors are encountered,
these should be logged.
3. Immediate compression of the received file (and the corrected version, if necessary) to
save space on the hard disk.
Important: If a transfer goes wrong, so will the one following it. This behavior has to be
taken into account in a shell script.
