Configuring a Subtending SSU
Output modules are available to support the following formats:
DS1, SF (D4) and ESF
E1, CAS, and CCS
2048 kHz
Composite Clock (CC) (64/8 kHz)
Other typical clock frequencies
Setting Subtending Parameters
The SSU-2000 software includes the following new command that allows you to
enable and disable the Subtending mode. For additional information on general
syntax and usage, refer to Appendix B, Communications Protocol.
OPERMODE
This command allows you to view and change the operating mode of the
SSU-2000.
Level 0 Not applicable
Level 1 Not applicable
Level 2 Not applicable
Level 3
OPERMODE [SUBTENDING|NORMAL]
If you do not specify a parameter, the system displays the current mode.
SUBTENDING Sets the SSU to Subtending mode.
NORMAL Sets the SSU to normal TSG operation.
Level 4 Same as Level 3 operation.
