gearpump,pistonpump,drivemotor),itis
necessarytoprimethehydraulicpumps.
Aremotestarterswitchcanbeusedfor
thispurpose.Aremotestarterswitch
canbepurchasedlocallyorfabricatedas
follows.
IMPORTANT :Whenusinga
remotestarterswitch,itishighly
recommendedtoincludea20amp
in−linefusebetweenthebatteryand
switchconnectorforcircuitprotection.
Aremotestaterswitchcanalsobe
constructedusingToroswitch#106−2027,
alengthof14gaugewire,a20amp
in−linefuse,two(2)alligatorclipsand
necessaryconnectors.Connectingthe
wiretoswitchterminals1and2willallow
themomentaryswitchcontactstobeused
fortheremotestarterswitch.

Themetercantesttheelectrical
componentsandcircuitsforcurrent,
resistance,orvoltage.
Note:Useadigitalmultimeterwhen
testingtheelectricalcircuits.Thehigh
impedance(internalresistance)ofadigital
meterinthevoltagemodeensuresthat
theexcesscurrentisnotallowedthrough
themeter.Thisexcesscurrentcan
damagethecircuitsthatarenotdesigned
tocarryit.

Usethisaerosolsprayonthebattery
terminals,ringterminals,andforkterminals
toreducecorrosionproblems.Applythe
terminalprotectortotheconnectionafter
yousecurethebatterycable,ringterminal,
orforkterminal.
