1/15/2016 2.00: Major rewrite generalizing the manual to cover both the Viper II and Cobra II. This
chapter only applies to the Viper II and the generalization has minimal impact. A note was
added prior to para. 12.1.2 with the sequence for connecting the cables and powering on the
equipment. This chapter was also updated with corrections to minor typographical errors.
