give you a factor of “2.5”. If the tach pulse frequency is unknown, set the FACTOR to
“1” and read the value for the applicable tach channel at a known stable engine speed.
The indicated tach pulse frequency can then be divided into the known engine speed at
that point.
16.1.1.21. Use the [] key to select the “Tach Filter Type”. The options are for a Single pole
filter, a Double pole filter or None.
16.1.1.22. Use the keypad to enter the Tach Filter Frequency”. Enter a numeric value equal to
the lowest frequency of interest. The filter will then be effective for that frequency and
all frequencies above that value.
16.1.1.23. Repeat the steps from paragraph 16.1.1.17 through 16.1.1.202 for each of the channels
you intend to use for this job the/or press [OK] to accept your settings and exit back to
the Spectra Setup screen.
16.1.3. – Monitor Spectra
16.1.3.1. – Fields displayed when viewing Spectra
16.1.3.1.1. Modifier – Displayed in the upper left above the “Y” scale. This will display the modifier
for the affected channel entered in paragraph 16.1.1.10 above.
16.1.3.1.2. Channel description (Desc) – Centered at the top of the spectrum and is the description
for the affected channel entered in paragraph 16.1.1.14 above.
16.1.3.1.3. Ovr:” – Displays the overall reading for the affected channel.
16.1.3.1.4. Minimum frequency – Displayed at the lower left corner of the spectrum and represents
the minimum frequency of the “X” scale as entered in paragraph 16.1.1.3.
16.1.3.1.5. Frequency unit – Centered at the bottom of the spectrum and is the frequency unit
selected in paragraph 16.1.1.2 above.
16.1.3.1.6. Maximum frequency – Displayed at the lower right corner of the spectrum and represents
the maximum frequency as entered in paragraph 16.1.1.4 above.
16.1.3.1.7. Full scale range – Displayed on top left corner of the spectrum and represents the
maximum range of the “Y” scale as entered in paragraph 16.1.1.11 above. The minimum
value for the “Y” scale will be “0”.
16.1.3.1.8. Sensor units – Centered on the left side of the spectrum and is the “Units” value selected
in paragraph 16.1.1.9 above.
