Table 7-15 describes the O-24121G-A and O-24120G-A outdoor ONT physical
connections.
Power and alarm
connector
A 7-pin Phoenix connector provides the 48 V input power and return for
the LP MDU ONT and the UPS alarms.
Separate power and alarm cables are required for class 1 wiring. When
wiring the LP MDU to a UPS, use a class 1 powering cable. In that case,
the combined power/alarm cable is only used for alarm wiring, not for
power wiring. A separate 16 AWG wire wrapped in a sleeve is required.
Auxiliary environmental
alarm connector
A 7-pin Phoenix connector provides up to three customer defined
environmental alarms for the LP MDU ONT.
Craft port connector The craft interface is a right angled RS-232 serial port that can be
accessed with a male DB-9 connector.
Fiber optic connector An SC/APC fiber optic connector terminates a fiber optic connection
from the P-OLT.
Ethernet port This connection is provided through Ethernet RJ-45. The RJ-45
connectors support 10/100BASE-T or 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet
connections.
Video coaxial connector This connection supports RF video on all of the LP MDU ONTs except for
the 3FE 51063 AB variant of the O-24121V-A and O-24120V-A outdoor
ONT.
