Table 10-44 O-00240V-A MDU outdoor ONT power consumption
Notes
(1)
The power consumption for a powered and booted O-00240V-A MDU outdoor ONT with no VDSL2
lines synchronized.
(2)
The maximum power consumption for an O-00240V-A MDU outdoor ONT with 24 active VDSL2 lines.
Modular ONT and plug in unit
The M-300-A requires -48 V DC input power supplies. See the appropriate ONT data
sheet for specific UPS support.
The power specifications of the modular ONT are described as follows:
The input power is –48 V dc, locally powered with battery backup (single power
feed), and uses the APC 150 W UPS for broadband applications.
The total power consumption is 71 W (assuming 6 VDSL line-active and 4 POTS
lines off-hook: (GR-909): 9 CCS/port = 25% of 16 lines).
The modular ONT provides a manufacturing option with intra-building lightning
primary protection (internal to the modular ONT enclosure).
The S-840V-A is hot-swappable.
A wrist strap ground connection is provided on the modular ONT chassis.
The modular ONT meets human factors requirements of GR-499 (Section 12.1)
and GR-2914.
The S-840V-A interface provides the following functions:
loop start signaling
DC supervisory range: 530 ohms (100 ohm loop)
minimum on-hook voltage: 43 V
nominal loop current: 25 mA
ring signal with 18 V (dc) offset (sinusoidal or trapezoidal): 40 Vrms
audio output for voice: up to +6 dBm
VDSL output level: up to +8.5 dBm
