22.4 Special considerations
In order to provide four GE ports on the I-241G-A and the I-240G-A, an Ethernet
switch has been added between the SoC and the Ethernet ports; See Figure 22-1. The
Ethernet switch provides the following features:
• IGMP packet replication for multicast channels
• internal VLAN tagging to direct traffic to appropriate ports and priority queues
