The following section describes the modular ONT and plug-in unit connections.

Connection Description
Ground lug (or wire
terminal)
The interface is a terminal to which a ground wire (X AWG) connects.
UPS alarm connector A 5-position IDC connector that provides support for UPS alarms.
Environmental and door
alarm connector
A 8-position IDC connector that provides up to three customer defined
environmental alarms and one door alarm for the O-00240V-A MDU ONT.
Power and return
connector
A 2-position IDC connector that provides -48 V/-60V power and return.
Craft port The craft port is a right-angled RS-232 serial port that can be accessed
with a male DB-9 connector.
Ethernet port The interface is an Ethernet RJ-45 port that supports 10/100BASE-T
Ethernet connections.

ordering Ethernet cables. These cables must be ordered separately.
VDSL2 connector The interface is a RJ-21 connector with 50 positions of which 48 support
up to 24 VDSL2 lines. The cable is not included with the ONT and must
be ordered separately.
Fiber optic connector An SC/APC fiber optic connector terminates a fiber optic connection
from the P-OLT.
