Chapter 1. Introduction
This volume provides installation procedures and guidance for the 9500 MXC
radios, from unpacking and checking the equipment to completion of the
physical installation and antenna alignment.

Product Compliance
9500 MXC has been tested for and meets EMC Directive 89/336/EEC. The equipment
was tested using screened cabling; if any other type of cable is used, it may violate
compliance.
9500 MXC is a Class A product. In a domestic environment it may cause radio
interference in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures. This
equipment is intended to be used exclusively in telecommunications centers.
9500 MXC Health and Safety Requirements
The installation must comply with the relevant health and safety practices when
working on or around the 9500 MXC radio equipment. Refer to Volume 1 of this
manual.
