9500 MXC User Manual
3DB 23063 ADAA - Rev 004 July 2007 Vol. IV-15-15
• To view Help the Helpset must be installed on your PC prior to logging in with
CT.
• The Helpset folder is installed from ‘Install Helpset’ on the 9500 MXC
Setup CD. It default installs to C drive > Program Files > 9500 MXC Help,
but can be installed to any location on your PC, as CT will find it
• The Helpset provides a web-based library of the 9500 MXC User Manual.
Search plus contents, index and internal linking is available for all volumes.
• A shortcut is automatically installed on your desktop for easy stand-alone
access; note that after double-clicking the shortcut to launch the Helpset it
will take several seconds for the opening screen to appear.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: To ensure correct operation, previous Helpset
versions must be uninstalled. An uninstall application is included in the
Helpset program folder. Check that an uninstall has removed the existing
Helpset desktop shortcut before installing the new version of the Helpset.
• If the Helpset is not available (has not been loaded on your PC), the Help for
Alarm tab will remain greyed-out and a Help Not Installed message will appear
below the Help for Alarm tab.
• The Helpset is automatically opened to the relevant alarm page when the Help
for Alarm tab is clicked on a valid (un-greyed) alarm selection.
• It is not necessary to have the Helpset open when the Help for Alarm tab is
clicked. CT automatically opens the Helpset when the tab is first clicked,
and it will remain open until closed from within the Helpset.
• The Helpset can also be directly opened to its CT pages or to the full 9500
MXC User Manual from Help in the Menu bar.
• If alarm information for a selected alarm is not available, the Help for Alarm
tab is greyed-out.
• Only tree-end alarms are supported.
• The Help for Alarm tab must be clicked for each new alarm help selection.
• Figure 15-3 on page 15-12 shows the Help for Alarm information for an ESR
Threshold Exceeded selection.
