b Set the sample tubes in the ports of the sample racks.

Sample tube
Insert the sample tube into the center of the port
and fit the bottom of the tube into the bottom of
the port so that the tube stands straight. If the
tubes are tilted, they may cause damage to the
piercing nozzle.

NOTE:
Skip measurement may interrupt normal measurement
depending on which ports sample tubes have been set
in. Skip measurement occurs when a sample does not
reach the aspiration position in time. Then, analysis
operation is performed without measuring sample and
the instrument waits for the next sample to arrive. The
same volumes of eluents are consumed as used in
normal measurement.
Note the following when setting sample tubes in the
sample rack.
• Skip measurement may occur when only one sample
tube is set in the sample rack.
• If you have two or more sample tubes, first set the
tubes into ports 1 and 9, and then set the remaining
tubes into other ports. This may reduce skip
measurement occurrences.
For sample tubes with a barcode label
When the “sample ID auto-reading function” is turned off,
set sample tubes with the barcode labels facing to the
main body of the instrument so that barcodes are read
correctly.
