30 Configuring Syslog Settings
The Syslog Settings page allows you to configure the device's embedded Syslog client. For
a detailed description on the Syslog parameters, see 'Syslog, CDR and Debug Parameters'
on page 563. For viewing Syslog messages in the Web interface, see Viewing Syslog
Messages on page 539. For more information on Syslog messages and using third-party
Syslog servers, refer to the Product Reference Manual.
To configure the Syslog client:
1. Open the Syslog Settings page (Configuration tab > System menu > Syslog
Settings).

2. Configure the parameters as required, and then click Submit to apply your changes.
3. To save the changes to flash memory, see 'Saving Configuration' on page 482.
