The adjustment range is from 0 to 15.
The lower the range value the slower the update.
Compass Linearisation
Compass linearisation corrects (compensates) the active compass for
deviation caused by large iron masses (for example, the engine, keel,
fittings made of ferrous metals and other electrical equipment).
To linearise the compass you must turn your vessel in slow circles until
sufficient information has been logged to provide deviation data.
Procedure
1. At the deviation display, press the right-hand key to start the
linearisation procedure (the display now says ‘TURN BOAT
SLOWLY’).

Begin compass linearisation.

2. Start turning your vessel is slow circles with a boat speed of at least 2
knots. Keep turning your vessel in circles until a deviation value is
displayed.
If the rate at which you are turning your vessel is too high, “TURN
RATE TOO HIGH” is displayed.
