Vane Steer
Vane steer is linked to the autopilot locked wind angle. It is,
therefore, only available when the autopilot is in VANE mode.

• This page shows wind direction changes relative to your
current tack.
• Changes that allow you to maintain your current tack are indicated
by the word “LIFT”. If the wind changes to the extent that you must
change tack, the word “HEAD” is displayed.
• Any departure from the locked autopilot wind angle is shown in
degrees, together with a direction to steer indicator to correct any
error.
As with the auto steer mode, there are two operating configurations:
current and fixed. These modes are selected in User Setup.
In current mode the current apparent wind angle (identified by a ~)
is displayed at the bottom left of the LCD. In fixed mode the
autopilot locked apparent wind angle is displayed.
