MC4 supports stand-alone calibration and off-line calibration.
The following list briefly describes these methods:
• In stand-alone calibration, all instrument and calibration result
data is stored in MC4's memory. No external calibration data-
base is used.
• In off-line calibration (sometimes also called batch calibra-
tion), the instrument data is downloaded from a calibration
software. The calibration is done just as in stand-alone cali-
bration, but instrument data and calibration procedures are
downloaded from a calibration software and calibration results
are uploaded to the calibration software.
