2. Double click the line X3C1 to open the associated parameters dialog.
• Baud rate: Data rate in baud. Data transfer rates of 300 to 115200 baud are available.
If permitted by the receiving device, select 115200 baud under normal conditions. This is also the
delivered default value for the communication unit interface.
• Data bits: Word length.
If permitted by the receiving device, select 8 bits. This is also the delivered default value for the
communication unit interface.
• Parity: Parity of the data packages.
If permitted by the receiving device, select "No" parity.
• Protocol: Handshake procedure for communication.
If permitted by the receiving device, select "No". This is also the delivered default value for the
communication unit interface.
• Stop bits: Number of stop bits.
If permitted by the receiving device, select 1. This is also the delivered default value for the
communication unit interface.
After all parameters have been set, click Accept to assign the values.
Sending the configuration to the tightening system
The interface configuration is only valid after the settings have been sent to the tightening system.
6.5.1.2 Results of the tightening channels
Only the communication unit can output results from tightening channels in a collected form.
If the channel has been configured as a part of a tightening application, the control unit will send the
results data to the communication unit after the end of the tightening process. If the communication unit
has been configured for results output on a printer, the results data are prepared according to the desired
format before they are output. Please note the various formats available for results output.
6.5.1.3 Results of tightening applications
Results from tightening applications consist of the application result and the individual results from the
tightening channels. This information is collected and prepared in the communication unit and then output
from there.
The data required for configuration are determined via the receiving device's interface. Both interfaces
must have the same settings.
Communication between the tightening system and receiving device can only function properly if both
interfaces have the same configuration. The settings suggested above correspond to the default settings
for the tightening system interface at the time of delivery. Only deviate from these if the receiving device
requires other parameters.
