Video Converters
Video convertors are used, as needed, to convert audio and video signals originating from an A/V
source to a format that can be used by the modulators. The need for a convertor is determined by the
outputs available from the A/V source and the model of modulator it is connecting to. Convertors are
normally needed to convert HDMI signals to component video
HDMI Video Converter
The functions of the components and connectors on the HDMI Video Convertor are:
(1) L/R Audio Out - Output connection for audio in the 2 channel stereo analog format.
(2) SPDIF Out - Output connection audio in the digital 5.1 format.
(3) Component Video Out - Output connector for video converted to the component video format.
(4) VGA Out - Output connector for video converted to the VGA format.
(5) Input Selector - Switch used to select which HDMI input will be converted.
(6) Video Output Selector - Switch used to select the format and output connection for the
converted video.
(7) Audio Output Selector - Switch used to select the format and output connection for the
converted audio.
(8) Input 1 - HDMI input one.
(9) Input 2 - HDMI input two.
(10) Power Connection - 5vdc input power connection.
