Ball Speed Adjustment
It is important that the ball speed is calculated properly so that the back up trigger system for the
pinsetters is executed properly and the speed shown on the overhead displays for the bowler is as
accurate as possible. Because the ball speed is determining by the length of time a ball is blocking the
ball detector beam, the location of the beam on the ball is needed to calculate the speed properly.
Use the following steps to record the ball detector’s height:
1. From the Sync Ofce programs “Lanes” tab, select the “Lanes” button then select the desired
lane from the “Lanes” screen. Refer to the gures titled Accessing Lanes Settings.
