ED Modulator
The Enhanced Denition modulator is a high denition modulator that can handle component,
composite, and VGA video sources with video resolutions of 480i, 480p, and 720p and VGA. It also
accepts the associated analog or digital audio. Like the HD modulator, the ED modulator is factory
congured to a specic channel and adjusted for optimum output. Refer to the gure titled ED
Modulator.

ED Modulator
The functions of the components and connectors on the ED modulator are:
(1) Coax Output - Coax cable output for channel encoded audio/video signals.
(2) Audio / Video Inputs - Input connections for audio and video signals originating from the
A/V source such as a DVD player or HD cable box. The modulator is capable of handing inputs
for two separate sources.
(3) LAN - Connection that allows a computer to congure the modulator through a network
connection. A second “pass-through” connection is provided for convenient network cabling.
(4) Power Connector - 120VAC-240VAC input power connector.
(5) LCD Screen- Displays conguration and system status.
(6) Input Button - 5-way control that allows the user to navigate display and setup/conguration
options.
