To edit the Tx Output Power Level, use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select a digit, and then use the
▲▼arrow keys to change that digit. Press ENTER. Note the following:
• For the CDM-570AL, the valid range of output power is from 0 dBm to –40 dBm.
• For the CDM-570A, the valid range of output power is from 0 dBm to –25 dBm.

Appendix E. AUPC (AUTOMATIC UPLINK POWER CONTROL)
• If you do not select ‘Framed’ or ‘IP-ACM’ mode, and you then attempt to select
AUPC, the modem displays the following message:
Warning! AUPC needs
Framed Mode or ACM Mode
This indicates Manual mode is active. Press ENTER or CLEAR to return to the previous
menu.
• If you select IP, IP-ACM or V2-ACM, and then select (Config: Tx) Pwr AUPC, the
modem displays the AUPC submenu as follows:

Maximum-permitted Power
increase: 3.0dB(▲▼,ENT)
Use the ▲▼
arrow keys to change the value of maximum permitted increase in power
level (when in AUPC mode). Press ENTER. The default value is 1 dB, and the upper
limit is 9 dB.

MinModcod ◄ ►
To set the action that occurs if the AUPC causes the maximum output power level to be
reached, use the
◄ ► arrow keys to select None, MaxPower, or MinModcod. Press
ENTER.
