1.2.10.1 CDM-570AL/CDMR-570AL L-Band Redundancy
For 1:1 applications, the modem is supported by the low-cost external CRS-170A L-Band 1:1
Redundancy Switch.
For Hub applications, the modem is supported by the low-cost external CRS-300 1:N
Redundancy Switch coupled with the CRS-280L (L-Band) Redundancy Switch.
1.2.10.2 CDM-570A 70/140 MHz Redundancy
For 1:1 applications, the modem is supported by the low-cost external CRS-180 70/140MHz 1:1
Redundancy Switch.
For Hub applications, the modem is supported by the low-cost external CRS-300 1:N
Redundancy Switch coupled with the CRS-280 IF (70/140 MHz) Switch.
1.2.10.3 Support Software
The modem is supported by Comtech EF Data’s Satellite system Monitor and Control (SatMac)
Version 4.7 software, a Windows
TM
-based application that provides a ‘point and click’ interface for
the complete system of Comtech EF Data equipment (comprising Modems, Transceivers, and
Redundancy Switches).
