CDM-570A/570AL Satellite Modem with Optional Packet Processor
Revision 5
Introduction 1–8 MN-CDM570A
LED Interfaces Depending on the frequency, up to 14 LEDs are available:
For the CDM-570AL or CDMR-570AL A red LED labeled “DC On! Caution!” is
provided for the Rx(at far left) and the Tx(at far right) Type ‘N’ connectors, each
indicating the presence of DC voltage.
Six LEDs, all orange, indicate the active data interface type: RS422/EIA530, RS232,
V.35, E1-B (G.703 E1 Balanced, E1-U (G.703 E1 Unbalanced), or T1 (G.703 T1).
A green LED labeled “ACT” and an orange LED labeled “M&C 100” indicate operational
status and the passing of 10/100 BaseT Ethernet-based remote product management
data.
For systems in an optional redundant configuration:
o When the modem is connected to a 1:N switch, a red LED labeled “1:N
Caution!” indicates that there may be DC voltages and other control signals
present on certain pins on the 25-pin Data Interface connector.
o A green LED labeled “Onlineindicates the Online/Offline status of the modem.
o A slide switch provides Off/On selection of the 1:N mode.
