Cleaning
Removing the Compact Breathing Sys-
tem
z Remove all breathing hoses.
z Disconnect the breathing bag extension and
bag by loosening the two thumb screws.
z Remove the ventilation hose.
z Remove the fresh gas hose from the breathing
system.
z Remove the scavenger hose.
z Remove the flow sensor cable.
z Remove the O
2 sensor cable.
z Remove the breathing pressure cable.
z Detach the APL-bypass and the PEEP/P
MAX
lines from the breathing system and from the
side of the machine.
z Remove the absorber (for complete instruc-
tions, see page 189
z Remove the compact breathing system.
1 Remove plug for the inspiration dome.
Removing the Inspiratory Valve
2 Unscrew the retaining nut.
3 Remove the inspection cap.
4 Extract the valve disc.
5 Extract the gasket on top of the valve disc.
Removing the Expiratory Valve
6 Unscrew the retaining nut.
7 Remove the inspection cap.
8 Extract the valve disc.
9 Remove the gasket on top of the valve disc.
