Connecting the Breathing Hoses and
Breathing Bag
When connecting and disconnecting, always hold
the breathing hoses by the end sleeve, not by the
spiral reinforcement. Otherwise, the spiral rein-
forcement may be torn loose.
Breathing hoses with a damaged spiral reinforce-
ment can kink or become occluded.
Before each use, check the breathing hoses for
damage.
NOTE
Take care not to damage the breathing hoses.
WARNING
Risk of use of toxic or incompatible materials
Breathing hoses used on the Fabius MRI must
comply with current national standards.
WARNING
Do not use antistatic or conductive breathing
hoses or masks. There is a risk of burns in the
MRI environment or when using high fre-
quency electrosurgical equipment.
WARNING
Do not use silicone breathing hoses. They are
visible in MRI images and can be interpreted
as an artifact.
