Routine Maintenance
Routine maintenance must be performed regularly
to ensure safe and effective operation. Regularly
check the condition of the absorbent and the overall
condition of the machine, power cord, hoses, and
breathing bag.
Replacing the O
2 Sensor Capsule
1 Unscrew the cap from the sensor housing.
z Remove the new sensor capsule from its pack-
aging.
2 Insert the capsule in the housing, with the ring-
shaped conductors against the contacts in the
housing.
z Screw the cap on firmly by hand.
Replacing CO
2 Absorbent
The CO
2 absorbent in the compact breathing sys-
tem should be replaced when two-thirds of the CO2
absorbent has changed color. Dräger recommends
the use of Drägersorb 800 Plus or Drägersorb
FREE. The color change indicates that the CO
2
absorbent can no longer absorb CO
2 (Drägersorb
800 Plus and Drägersorb FREE change from white
to violet).
CAUTION
Risk of electric shock
Do not remove cover. Refer servicing to a Dräger-
Service representative.
NOTE
Please refer to the specific Instructions for Use for
"Drägersorb 800 Plus or Drägersorb FREE".
